iv been riding norco since i owned my 2005 sx trail, and they are much better bikes, BUT i broke a 2007 shore and my friend broke his 2006 xxxx in the same day, within minutes of each other, plus norco sent me a gloss black chainstay on my f*ckin matte purple bike......
and the protoype was so sketchy and shit, so loose on the rear end, but hey its a prototype and it was to be expected, they fixed this flaw anyway so i dont know why your cryin...

this didnt happen of a jump just a simple crash, the carbon will explode before proper derailer mounts should break.
